Lightning Surge Protector

N Male to N Female coaxial lightning surge protectors are used to absorb lightning strikes caused by antenna feeders installed indoors and outdoors, base stations and vehicle stations, and network terminal equipment, and then import them to the ground to provide all-round signal surge protection for transceivers and other equipment. This surge protector is rated for 18kA of the current surge and is very simple to install on any system.

The lightning surge protector provides an efficient grounding network that provides a low-resistance path to the ground for lightning’s electricity.

The lightning surge arrester should be installed in-line with the equipment along the feeder connected to the Outdoor port of the device either near the external feeder or the device.

The lightning arrester has N-type female and N-type male connections on either end. It also has an earthing port that should be connected to a local earth connection nearby.
